About us
We're the Groen brothers, and we've been making music together since we were kids. After years of focussing mainly on our instruments and working together with great studio engineers, we decided with our band Boogie Monster that we wanted more time and control recording our music. That's why during the pandemic we started to transform our barn house rehearsal space into a studio, adding a separate control room and expanding our collection of instruments and gear.
We strongly believe in the 'studio as an instrument' approach as pioneered by the Beatles. Of course you need to prepare a song before you record it, but we've found that keeping an open mind, not being afraid to experiment and trusting in the magic of the moment will lead to the best recording. And what better place to do so than in a beautiful countryside studio, surrounded by nature and free of the distractions of the digital age?
Beinte is a drummer, mechanical- and acoustic engineer. He practically hand-soldered every piece of gear you find in the studio. His knowledge of physics and electronics can help you find the right sound in the right way.
